Somebody Helped You... Now You Can Help Somebody
Singles, Couples, Parents and Friends
Want to make a difference in someone's life?

You can. For more than 90 years, women and men from all walks of life have partnered with Girl Scouts to help girls realize their full potential. Whether you have an hour, a day, a weekend, or more, the time you share with Girl Scouts will instill in girls confidence and character that will last a lifetime.

Helping girls grow strong is a fulfilling and inspiring challenge and being involved means something different to everyone. You can tailor your participation so that it fits right into your life.

We're looking for volunteers who represent the diversity of the world we live in - women, men, senior citizens, and younger adults, people of all racial and ethnic backgrounds, and of course our treasured alumni - anyone who wants to make a difference in the lives of girls.

Young Adults

Did you need a role model when you were a teen?

Imagine how much you could offer girls 11-17 knowing what you know now. Studio 2B, the way girls 11-17 participate in Girl Scouts, needs young adult volunteers, both women and men, who can relate to girls interests and concerns.

Girl Scout Alumni

Remember when you were a Girl Scout?

You chose projects, met goals, and made friends along the way. You can create new opportunities that will build memories for today's girls by becoming a Girl Scout volunteer. We want you to share your experiences and help girls develop the same values and skills that you did as a Girl Scout.

Retired Adults

Share what you know!

You have the experience and the knowledge of living and working in the community. Now you can help by sharing what you know with Girl Scouts. No matter what your background Girl Scouts needs your expertise and experience. Work with girls, work with adults, help outdoors or indoors, regularly or part-time - you decide.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have what it takes?

No matter what your interests, age or amount of time you can offer, Girl Scouts needs your help to provide opportunities to girls to grow strong. We will match your interests with the needs of girls, and work around your busy schedule.

Will my help make a difference?

Girl Scouts exist for girls, but it exists because of volunteers. By giving your time and talent, you can make it possible for girls to build character and skills for success in the real world. Research shows the influence one caring adult has on a child will last a lifetime.

Do I have to wear a uniform?

No, a uniform is not required for membership in Girl Scouts. There is a wide choice of uniform components available if a girl or adult member would like to show her/his pride in this way.

I don't have a daughter in Girl Scouts - can I still volunteer?

You don't have to have a daughter or any other female relative in Girl Scouts to volunteer. There are many girls who need adult support and guidance.

What can I do?

No experience is necessary to volunteer - training is provided for all volunteer positions. For example you can choose to:
