Traveling Girl Scouts

Any interested Cadette or Senior Girl Scout from anywhere in the Council can join.  Please note that Girl Scouts must be 14 years of age prior to trip departure and/or entering the ninth grade in September of the trip year to travel internationally.  However, fundraising opportunities are available for all scouts wishing to travel on future trips.

Travel to Paris2008/2009 International Travel to Munich, Paris and Barcelona

Day 1:  Fly overnight to Germany

Day 2: Munich
Arrive in Munich
Take a walking tour of Munich

Day 3:  Munich
Take a guided tour of Munich:
-Marienplatz
-Schwabing district
-Residenz
Visit Dachau

Days 4-5: Heidelberg
Travel to Heidelberg
Take a guided tour of Heidelberg:
Visit Heidelberg Castle wine barrel
Optional: Neckar Valley (April-October)
Day 6: Reims-Paris
Travel through Reims to Paris

Days 7-8: Paris
Take a guided tour of Paris:
-Place de la Concorde
-Champs-Elysees
-Arc de Triomphe
-Les Invalides
-Eiffel Tower
Visit the Louvre
Take a walking tour of Paris:
-Latin Quarter
-lie de la Cite
Visit Notre Dame Cathedral
Optional: Versailles

Days 9-10: French Riviera
Travel on a TGV train to Nice
Visit the principality of Monaco
Tour a French perfume factory in Eze
Take a guided tour of Nice:
-Vieille Ville
-Promenade des Anglais

Days 11-12: Provence -Barcelona
Take a guided tour of Avignon
See the Pont du Gard
Take a guided tour of Nimes
Visit Carcassonne

Day 13:  Barcelona
Take a guided tour of Barcelona
Visit Parque Guell
Take a walking tour of Barcelona:
-Las Ramblas

Days 14-16: Zaragoza - Madrid
See El Pilar Basilica in Zaragoza
Take a guided tour of Madrid:
-Royal Palace
Optional: Toledo
Visit the Prado
Optional: Madrid Flamenco Evening
