Diversity (DAGS) |
A hands-on workshop designed to enrich pluralism
awareness and inclusion in Girl Scouting. Participants will be able to
define diversity and other related terms, discuss the dynamics of
pluralism, develop skills for communicating across differences and
explore the meaning of inclusion in Girl Scouting. |

Risk and Safety (RSGS) |
This training teaches leaders/advisors and co-leaders how
to use Safety-Wise, Here’s How– Adult Resource Guide, the Leader’s
Digest Blue Book of Basic Documents 2000 and other materials needed to
help guide girls in a safe and healthy environment. |

Out and About (OATT) |
This training will prepare the adult who is planning a
trip with girls. Participants will be able to help girls develop their
self-potential, relate to others, develop values and contribute to
society, by gaining knowledge of the process of planning and experience
troop travel. |

Camping Level 1 (CTI) |
This course offers planning advice and first time camping
hints for staying in a cabin. Fee: $15 per person (Safety Wise can be
purchased for $3.25 when you register for the course by calling the
Registration Unit) |

Camping Level 2 (CTII) |
This course builds on Camping Level 1and is dedicated to
promoting and inspiring responsible outdoor recreation through
education. Participants will learn more about the 7 Leave No Trace
principals; which include the planning process. You will also learn
about knots, knives, tents, and additional equipment. Fee: $10 |

Planning session - mandatory (CTP) |
This course is part of the Camping Level 1&2 Overnight
and is REQUIRED. This session prepares you for the overnight |

Camping Levels 1 & 2 Overnight (CTC) |
Participants will understand progression and planning for
camp with girls and be able to relate it to Girl Scout goals and program
outcomes. The course combines level 1and 2, preparing participant to
camp in a cabin or tent , meal planning and preparation , and cover
knots, knives, and Leave No Trace principles. Fee: $25 per person

First Aid/CPR (FACP)
|
Participants will be able to identify Cardio-Pulmonary
Resuscitation (CPR), demonstrate the signals of breathing emergencies,
including choking and learn how to provide rescue breathing for adults
and children. They will be able to identify and care for
life-threatening bleeding, signals of shock, signs of soft tissue and
musculoskeletal injuries, burns, poising, bits, stings and heat and cold
emergencies, and help sustain life and minimize the consequences of
injury or sudden illness until medical help arrives. FEE: $25 |
The registered adult acting as the troop first aid
trained adult. |
Safety-Wise requires Level 2 First Aid for most
activities. First aid is only good for 3 yrs/CPR training is good for 1
or 2 yrs depending on agency. Both are needed. |

Trainers Workshop for New Trainers (TRNT) |
This is an entry level training course for new trainers.
This course offers learning styles, presentations skills, course
content, and thoroughly explore Girl Scout Goals and Program. |
Adults who desire to become Girl Scout Trainers. |
Trainers Workshop is for any registered adult volunteer
wanting to join our team as a Girl Scout Trainer. |

Trainers Conference (TRNC) |
Trainers conference offers enrichment that will help
trainers freshen up their skills. It will identify performance
opportunities, and ensure effective implantation of Adult Learning. |
All Girl Scout Trainers are expected to attend |
This conference is for all registered Service Unit and
Council Level Trainers. |

Program Aide (PAT) |
Program Aid is designed to teach Girl Scouts
who have completed the 6th grade and/or are ages 11-17
the skills and confidence necessary to guide a group of younger girls.
Participants will develop self-reliance and attain leadership and
teamwork skills. Girls are required to bring a copy of Safety-Wise
to the Workshop. Extra copies will be available at the Workshop to
purchase. FEE: $7 includes pin, patch (to be
given upon completion of specialty training and internship) |
Girls who have completed the 6th grade
and/or are 11-17 years old |
Any registered Girl Scout who has
completed the 6th grade and/or is 11-17 years old who wants to hold future
leadership positions both in and out of Girl Scouting. |

Silver Award Workshop (SAGS) |
Workshop is designed to inform participants about what
procedures are required before girls can undertake the Silver Award
projects. Participants will understand why earning the Award is
important and about the steps necessary to complete the process.
Girls are required to bring a copy of Safety-Wise to the
Workshop. Extra copies will be available at the Workshop to
purchase. |
Girls 11-14 years old |
Any registered Girl Scout wanting to understand why
earning the Silver Award is important, and the necessary steps to
complete the process. |

Gold Award Workshop (GAGS) |
Workshop is designed to inform participants about what
procedures are required before girls can undertake the Gold Award
projects. Participants will understand why earning the Gold Award is
important and what steps are necessary to complete the process. Girls
are to bring a copy of Safety-Wise to the Workshop. Extra
copies will be available at the Workshop to purchase. |
Girls 14-17 years old |
Any registered Girl Scout. This workshop is MANDATORY.
You will develop skills to guide girls in meeting their goal to earn the
Gold Award |
