Buckeye Trail
To really see Ohio on foot, take the Buckeye trail.
This trail circles the entire state of Ohio. You can
jump on at any point and jump back off when you have had
enough. SO this is perfect for the day hiker or the
troop looking for a longer adventure! Your girls will
even learn to follow trail markers. Their website has
the map for the entire state as well as small sections
in your area. The Bedford and Burton sections are the
closest to home. The web also lets you know where food,
restaurants, and camping are available. And if this is
all too overwhelming, make sure to look at the featured
hike and the short hike links that will help you focus
on what your troop can successfully accomplish. Make
