The Cleveland Museum of Art

The Cleveland Museum of Art, located about 15 minutes east of downtown Cleveland in the University Circle area, which houses several other Cleveland museums and attractions, is known for its extensive collection of Pre-Columbian art, medieval European Art, and Asian and Indian art

Children’s Museum of Cleveland

The Children's Museum of Cleveland is an interesting and interactive place for kids and adults to learn and have fun together. Located in the University Circle neighborhood, the museum, established in 1981, welcomes visitors year round.

Cost: Ages 1 and up: $6
Visitors under 12 months are free
Discounts are offered to AAA members, Club Mom members, and Giant Eagle card holders.

Dinosaurs, hands-on experiments and wildlife are just some of the amazing experiences you will find here! If the activities and displays at the museum weren’t exciting enough, they offer special programs for Scout troops.  Junior troops can schedule a visit to earn either the Rocks Rock or Jewelry badge.  Come and visit the museum and earn something cool at the same time!

Cost: Adults $9, $7.50; Badge workshop $105 for up to 25 girls; Group and other discounts available; Parking is additional

Dunham Tavern Museum

stagecoachDunham Tavern, located on Euclid Avenue between downtown Cleveland and University Circle, is the oldest building in Cleveland still on its original site. The clapboard structure, built in 1824, was an important stop along the stagecoach route between Buffalo and Detroit. Today, the museum houses period art and furnishings and hosts periodic temporary exhibits.

Cost: Admission is $3 for adults, $2 for children 3-12, and free for children under 3.

Fairport Harbor Marine Museum and Lighthouse

When you come to visit the Fairport Lakefront Metropark, stop by at this lighthouse, its next door neighbor.  Visitors can see the museum and even walk up the spiral staircase to the light tower.  It's a fun way to learn about history!

GuitarRock and Roll Hall of Fame

Learn about Cleveland's top attraction, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Cost: Discounts are available for seniors and students, and children under 8 are admitted free.

Western Reserve Historical Society

The Western Reserve Historical Society, located in Cleveland's University Circle neighborhood, is acutally two musueums -- the History Museum and the Crawford Auto-Aviation Museum -- plus an extensive library. It's rarely crowded and it's filled with interesting exhibits about Cleveland from the days of Moses Cleaveland to the present.

Cost: Adults $8.50, Seniors $7.50, Students $5
Discounts are offered for AAA members and Cleveland Art Museum members. Parking is $5.

William G. Mather Maritime Museum

The William G. Mather Museum, located just north of the Great Lakes Science Center in downtown Cleveland, is a retired 1925 Great Lakes bulk freighter, permanently docked and open to visitors between early May and late October. Touring the ship is a wonderful way to learn more about life and commerce on the Great Lakes.

Cost: Admission is $6 for adults, $5 for seniors (aged 60 and older), and $4 for children ages 5-18 and students will a valid college ID. Children under 5 are admitted FREE. AAA members receive a $1 discount.
