How to Register

Question: Who can participate in Girl Scout programs?

Answer: Anyone!

There are three ways to participate in Girl Scout programs:

  • Current Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) members can participate for the listed program fees.
  • Girls who want to become a GSUSA member can pay the listed program fee(s) and an additional $10 one-year membership fee at the time of registration, which lasts October 1, 2007 - September 30, 2008.
  • Girls who do not want to be GSUSA members, must pay the listed program fee(s) and an additional $25 per program, which is the non-member fee.

Please follow these easy steps:

1. Register for all programs and trainings online by clicking on this link for online registration.

2. Fill in all the blanks on the registration form for the selected activity. Registration forms are available online at www.gslec.org/forms.htm.

3. Attach copies of certifications and other requested forms including, a group roster, Troop Camp Trained (TCT) or appropriate camping level, First Aid, CPR for each program registration or participant, if applicable. Incomplete forms will be returned by mail. This can cause a delay, which could prevent you from registering for the program of your choice.

 

 

4. Registrations for programs and trainings can be mailed, faxed with credit card information, or brought to the GSNEO Registration Unit as long as necessary documents are attached. On-line registration is also available for most trainings and programs.

5. Full payment is due at the time of registration. If using the online system, or faxing, payment must be made with a valid credit or debit card.

6. All registrations received at GSLEC are processed on a first come, first serve basis. Registrations are processed based on date, time, and payment receipt.

Payment Information

We accept personal/group checks, money orders, Visa or MasterCard. If paying in person, cash will be accepted in the Registration Unit; however, you must have exact change. Please make checks and/or money orders payable to Girl Scouts of North East Ohio or GSNEO.

Financing a Program

Ways to finance a program:

  • Ask your Service Unit Director if the Service Unit has special funds for financial assistance. These are often limited.

 

 

Refund Procedure

A refund will be issued if:

  • GSNEO or collaborating organizations cancel the program.
  • Registration was received after maximum enrollment for the activity was reached.
  • You must cancel due to a medical emergency (written documentation required).
  • You cancel 30 days or more before training or program date. (This includes Outdoor Program.)
  • You cancel 60 days or more before first day of campsite date(s).

A refund will not be issued if:

  • A participant attends the activity without the required permission form.
  • The participant does not attend the program/training, even if you called before the program began.
  • Participant cancels registration after 30 or 60 (as applicable) day cut off.
  • Cancellation is due to lack of proper forms/information needed at the council office.
