BIG TRIPS: 2008

High Adventure Troop

ALGONQUIN July 2008

Millions of people have precious memories of an Algonquin experience —  perhaps falling asleep after a hard day with the wild calls of loons reverberating from ancient moonlit hills, or perhaps marveling from a cliff top at the wild, rugged lakes country stretching as far as the eye can see. Indeed, as a refuge from our urban way of life, Algonquin's 7,725 square kilometers of forests, lakes, and rivers have assumed an almost incalculable importance as a living link with a vanishing past.   Cost $600.  10 days.

HEIFER RANCH June, 2008

They commit to the value of serving others through interactive learning, community building and work projects.  Summer Action is primarily an education program that also includes service activities. Participants will engage in activities that teach them more about world hunger, Heifer International’s mission, and perhaps most importantly about themselves. They will learn about their role as global citizens and about how their choices affect the lives of others. They will learn they are a part of a global community and they have the power to make decisions to improve the lives of others.   Estimated cost $700.00.  A minimum of 10 people are needed for this 10 day trip.

COSTA RICA BIG TRIP JUNE  2009

Come Join High Adventure for two weeks in the jungles of Costa Rica.  Cost estimate $2000.00 .  This is for girls who are going into the 9th grade by fall of 2009.  Plan ahead.  Start raising money now.  We will be seeing the rainforest, rafting, beaching, learning the culture, volcanoes, horseback riding, zip line, spa and much more.  This is our third trip to Costa Rica.  Plan on this trip!
