Activi-Tea

[Junior-Adults]

Girl Scouts’ first meeting was held ovTeaer ninety-five years ago when some girls were invited to a friend’s home. Juliette Gordon Low came to describe a new “club” that girls in England were enjoying.  An Activi-Tea is a re-creation of similar meetings.  Costumed hostesses serve home-baked refreshments and citrus tea, as a uniformed Girl Scout visitor tells of Juliette Low and early Girl Scouting.  A craft from the era is made.  Due to limited space, we ask that younger siblings not attend.  School dress or Girl Scout uniform is appropriate for an Activi-Tea.  You may arrange for a tea in your neighborhood based on the availability of the Historical Committee Volunteers.  The minimum is 20 and the maximum is 30.  Troops may be combined to meet minimum requirement.  Please indicate any allergies to food or craft supplies, such as potpourri, prior to program.

When: By arrangement with Sunny Baddour, at least six weeks prior to proposed date.  Monday-Thursday after 4 p.m.  Please have three possible dates available upon program request.

Where: GSNEO-North Region Service Center, 19201 Villaview Road, Cleveland or as arranged

Capacity: Minimum 20, Maximum 30

Registration:  Call the Registration Unit at 216-481-1313

Fee: $4 per person

Patches/Badges: Fulfills some requirements for “Girl Scouting in the World”.  Participants will receive a souvenir Activi-Tea button.
