Bronze Award

 

Bronze Award –

 

 

  • The highest award that a Junior Girl Scout can earn (Junior Girl Scout grade 3-6)
  • There are no special workshops for the Bronze Award, the Bronze Award is covered in Junior Leadership training.
  • Council approval is not necessary
  • A final report should be submitted upon completion to the council office as indicated on page 39, of the Junior Girl Scout Handbook, under the Action Plan, step #7.
  • The report can be given to the Girl Scout Council Shop Manager in the shop at time of Bronze Award pin purchase ($7).

Silver Award

 

 

Silver Award –

 

  • The highest award a Girl Scout 11-14 years old can earn.
  • There is a Silver Award workshop that is strongly recommended for the girls and the adults working with the girls.
  • At the workshop participants will;
    • Receive handouts including final report form
    • Get support and encouragement on how to earn the award and how to support someone who is earning the award
    • Have their questions answered
    • Talk about money – earning in Girl Scouts
    • Have the opportunity to meet new girls who are equally passionate about earning this high achievement
  • No council approval necessary, the award is earned at the discretion of and with the support of the leader/advisor.
  • The final report form (available at the workshop) is due to the council shop when the leader/advisor purchases the pin ($6.80).

  • Recognition for earning this award is essential and should be done within the troop and/or Service Unit.

Gold Award

 

 

Gold Award –

 

  • The highest award a Girl Scout 14-18 years old can earn in Girl Scouting.
  • There is a Gold Award workshop that is MANDATORY for the girls and the adults working with the girls.
  • At the workshop participants will;
    • Receive handouts including Gold Award Resource Book, Gold Award application, final report form, and much more…
    • Get support and encouragement on how to earn the award and how to support someone who is earning the award
    • Have their questions answered
    • Talk about money – earning and Girl Scouts
    • Have the opportunity to meet new girls who are equally passionate about earning this high achievement
